Installation of Loftware for Aventa on Windows

Select an operating system and installation type before starting. Click on a heading below for instructions:

1. Pre Requisits

1. Make sure that the printer has been installed using the latest available drivers

2. Make sure the printer software has been installed to give full control of the printer

3. If a network printer is being used, ensure that this is not lost when the server is restarted

Close Section

2. Install Loftware

1. Run the installation .exe

2. Click Next

3. Select English and click OK

4. Click Next the clcik Yes

5. Click Next

6. Select English and click Next

7. Select the installation location (usually C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling) and click Next

7. Select the installation location (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling) and click Next

8.Click OK

9 Select Yes, Initialize the Loftware Print Server and click Next

10. Click Next

11. Enter the Windows user password and click Next

12. Click Finish

13. Put the USB License USB Key into the server to license

3. Configure Loftware

1. Go to Start > Programs > Loftware Labelling > Design 32

2. Click Cancel on the New Media Wizard screen

3. Click Do not show me this dialog again box and click OK

4. Go to File > Devices

5. On the Configuration screen, click Next

6. Choose the Family and Model, and click Next

7. Click Finish

8. Take note of which printer is which number, for configuring the Aventa software later

9. Exit Design 32

10. Copy the template labels to C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling\Template

4. Install FTP Server

1. Download Filezilla Server

2. Ron the .exe file

3. Click I Agree

4. Click Next

5. Click Next

6. Select Install as service, started with Windows(default), and click Next

7. Select Start if user logs on, apply only to current user, then click Install

8. Click Finish

9. Click OK on the Connect to Server box

5. Configure FTP Server

1. Set up a Group

a. Go to Edit > Groups
b. Click Add
c. Enter 'Loftware', click 'OK'
d. Click 'OK'

2. Set up a user

a. Go to Edit > Users
b. Click Add
c. Enter 'Loftware' and select the 'Loftware' group, click 'OK'
d. Tick Password and enter 'Loftware123' in the box
e. Click 'Shared folders', and then click 'Add' (under shared folders)

f. Browse to 'C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling\WDDrop', click 'OK'

f. Browse to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\WDDrop', click 'OK'

g. Tick the Write,Delte and Append boxes under files
h. Click 'Set as home dir'
i. Ensure there are no other shared folders for this user
j. Click 'OK'

6. Configure Aventa

1. Open up Aventa and log in as Redthorn

2. Go to Setting of Central Company Information

FTP Details

Host or IP Address = Server IP Address
FTP Port = 21
Username = Loftware
Password = Loftware123
Dir = /

Program Locations

Template Folder = C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling\Template
DTD File = C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling\label.dtd

Template Folder = C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\Template
DTD File = C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\label.dtd

3. Go to Loftware Label Printing > Setup Loftware Printers

Printer Description = 'Printer Name'
Loftware Ref = 'The number taken from loftware earlier'

4. Go to Loftware Label Printing > Label Profiles

Trigger = 'What to Print Off'
Printer = 'Double click to select Printer'
SQL = 'Get from Programming'
Loftware Template Name = 'Name of template created'

Installation of Oracle Patches on Aventa Server
