1. Download the latest client installer from the forum
2. Run the ARC______.exe you have just downloaded
3. Click Next
4. Database Sever Details Screen
Aventa Database Server IP = 'server IP address'
Aventa Database Connection SID = 'RED' (some are set to REDAVENT)
Aventa Database Connection Service Name = 'RED' (some are set to REDAVENT)
Aventa Database Connection Port = '1521' (some are 1522)
5. Forms and Reports Sever Details Screen
Aventa Forms and Reports Server IP = 'server IP address'
Aventa Forms and Reports Connection Port = '7778' (some are 7777 or 7779)
6. Document Layout Screen
Select the required version of Document Layout
(If this is unknown, select 'Document Layout 2008')
7. Click 'Install'
8. Click 'Test ODBC Connection'
If the test comes back as failed, do the following:
a. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Aventa
b. Open 'Document Layout' and click 'Install ODBC'
The client is now installed.
